What is C3A?

Cyprus Third Age is a learning co-operative which enables members to share many educational, creative and leisure activites in friendly and sociable groups.

It was founded as U3A Cyprus in 2003 and gained registration as the Cyprus Third Age Association in 2008, and draws members from across the island.  Our aims and guiding principles are in accord with those of the Third Age Trust, the parent body of the U3A in the UK, to which we are affiliated.

What is the Third Age?  

Traditionally retirement has meant a period of gradual withdrawal.  By contrast the Third Age can be a period of commencement.  Freed from work and family responsibilities, there are opportunities for creativity and fulfilment in our lives which didnt even exist for previous generations.
